My husband and I had 4 custom jewelry pieces made for our wedding - 2 wedding bands, an engagement ring, and a necklace. We were extremely pleased with all 4.

We had shopped around several larger jewelry stores before and immediately felt that this local business was far more personable, trustworthy, and experienced.

We wanted to take the diamond from a ring my husband inherited and put it into a new setting for my engagement ring. While other jewelers were downright rude to us when they found out we didn’t intend to purchase a large diamond from them, Personal Touch Jewelers was happy to accommodate us. As such, we chose to order 3 more custom pieces from them (which they gave us a discount on, even though we didn’t ask or expect it).

John and Maria were very patient, knowledgeable, and respectful of our budget throughout the whole process. John looked through our inspiration photos and gave good advice on how to achieve the look we wanted while still maintaining the longevity and integrity of the rings. He made a wax mock-up of my wedding band, and I got to give some final notes before the real thing was made.

2.5 years later, all of the pieces they made for us are still in great shape.

A bonus worth mentioning is the free and limitless ring cleaning! They also appraised a diamond for us and gave us a discount on that as well.

We’ve been recommending them to our friends and family ever since!

Dropped my ring off when the sapphire popped out. They quoted me a very reasonable price to rebuild the prongs and service was quick and fantastic! I asked them if they could design a wedding ring to match, and when I came to pick up my ring, they had a wax cast ready for me to look at and try on! It was a perfect match for my ring, and i cant wait to submit the order! We will definitely be coming here to get our rings custom made!

I lost a pearl out of a cherished gold necklace. I acquired a new pearl and brought it to Personal Touch to see if they could half drill it and mount it. It was done in 5 minutes while I waited and no charge! Everyone was so kind and friendly there. Definitely will go back.

Today we found an amazing jeweler that out of pure kindness fixed a ring my grandmother gave me that I had knocked a stone out of almost a decade ago thanks to a printer jam at work. I had asked a separate jeweler about it and was basically dismissed because he "didn't fix silver jewelry." Which also surprised me because my grandmother always bought gold so in the same visit I learned she'd been swindled.

He didn't have a perfect match cut but he popped a different one in a matter of minutes while we chatted with Maria.

He also managed to stretch my husband's"unsizeable" wedding band up a whole size.

He also freed me from my rings that had been stuck that Jared's had said go to the ER or the fire dept to get off.

John is truly a diamond in the rough who designs the vast majority of all his jewelry... today was a much needed reminder of how important it is to support small businesses.

I brought my loose Tanzanite stone here to be set into a gold necklace and it is beautiful! I am so happy with the result. This stone is very special to me and I am thankful that the staff here took such good care of it.

I took my very simple necklace to get shortened, which I was told I could do with no issue. I was given a one week time frame and when I called almost 2 weeks later I was told, “if we haven’t called you, it’s not ready,” and not very nicely. When I eventually went to pick it up, the necklace was shortened but completely uneven. The pendant is now one inch to the side and not at all centered. I asked and was told “that’s just the way it goes.” When I left I noticed the chain attachment to the pendant had been replaced and was yellow gold on a white gold necklace. It did not match the other side and was completely discolored. I returned to the store and they stated they did not touch that part of the necklace, when it was clear it had been poorly changed. They offered to fix it at my expense. When I looked more closely I noticed there was a lot of discoloring through out the necklace. I was told that is was an issue with the base color of the necklace and had nothing to do with the work they had done. I have worn this necklace for years, 24/7, in water, etc. and there have never been any issues. I took it to get fixed and it came back uneven, discolored, damaged and poorly reassembled. I would take your jewelry somewhere else.

On a whim I stopped in to Personal Touch to see about having my engagement ring repaired (it had been sitting in my nightstand for 10 years after the entire diamond setting fell out). I mentioned that a prominent jeweler in Vienna had told me that the ring was made incorrectly and that it could not be repaired, must be entirely reset for around $1000. John said "That's bologna!" and said it would cost $275 to set the diamond in a new setting and solder it in. I decided to upgrade my setting and chose a different halo prong instead of the traditional plain one. Maria was super and took her time showing me some different options I could choose from. The ring was ready in 1 week (one week early, btw). I was shocked when I saw my new ring. I literally yelled "Oh my God!!" It is absolutely stunning, and cost me much less than it would have to just have it reset in the plain setting at the other place. I can't recommend John and Maria enough. super personable, easy to work with, and helpful.
