JOY 1 South Bay Galleria is a favorite place for me to visit. My Sister was visiting So Cal. I took her there, and she loved the variety of products. There are so many necessities and wants in one place. One can always find new items and revisit the store stables that are always there. There are snacks, household items, cosmetics, and fun stuff to name a few items. The prices are great. The store is well organized and always clean. What brings it is the friendliness of the staff and management. I have never seen them in a bad way. I like how they casually engage with the customers. (My Sister included) That is a good thing. My Sister enjoyed the visit and hopes a store is opened in the Bay Area. I am pleased that this one is here for me.

This place is absolutely AMAZING! If you're in this end of LA and just looking for something to do, it's honestly worth going into the mall just to take a walk through. The front entry is essentially a candy & snack store, with all kinds of japanese, thai, vietnamese, korean, mexican and other exotic & foreign candy, sweets, chocolates, drinks etc.

I may or may not have spent $120 on foreign snacks I was so excited....

The best part is everything is priced SUPER reasonably too. WAAAAY less than you'd find anywhere else.

Walk on through towards the back and there is pretty much everything. Pharmacy type essentials, makeup, hello kitty plushies, hello kitty backpacks, disney collectibles, souvenirs & other foreign treasures that are hard to find.

Walk WAY back and you get to the home goods & houseware section, where you can grab everything from ziplocks to brooms to headlamps & car accessories to cleaning supplies

Such a cool spot & 100% 1 of a kind, boutique shop run by an incredible family. Definitely check it out. You won't be disappointed.

They kill pet fish.
8/16/22: 25+ half dead beta fish in tiny cups sitting on the entry area table. Complete with tanks that are entirely too small, no filters, etc.
Don't buy anything from this store.

It's 2022. We are past this being acceptable for any store.

I encourage the owners to surrender the fish to a reputable aquarium / breeder.

Perfect dollar-ish store INCLUDING name brand items inside the mall. Do your reg shopping & household supplies all on one stop at the galleria! (plus owner is super friendly) 🙂

I love shopping here. The employees are very nice and helpful, very patient. Jessie, helped me out with a few items I needed. I got a few small keychains they were Sanrio products. They have varieties of sanrio stuff, from plushies to make up, lotions, tote bags, and small backpacks. All official Sanrio products. Danny is the manager, and he’s always there to welcome you in as soon as you step in through their doors. He’s very knowledgeable and kind. They’re always there to help you out with whatever else you need. They sell drinks, snacks, school supplies, kitchen supplies even arts and crafts. I recommend this place.

OMG! This neat little store in LA is an absolute gem! From awesome deals to a wide variety of items, it's a budget shopper's paradise. tons of Korean candy and cool snacks and makeup etc, AND vegan snack options for those plant based shoppers out there. I always find something unique and useful here. Highly recommend!

While walking in the South Bay Gallery on the 3rd floor, I found Joy a general merchandise store. I really did find joy. This store is really a fun store to shop. I would say it is JoAnns, Dollar Tree, 99 store, Michaels, Home Depot, The Party Store. and possibly other stores I do not know of. I was there for a fair amount of time. There is such a wide variety of items and even food snacks to select from. And I found many interesting items that I did not know I needed. The prices are great so I needed the items. If something is too expensive, I might not need it.

The staff is quite friendly and customer service oriented. The vibe is both professional and positive. On my first visit, I met Joanna. I really liked her. At that time, she educated me on the brand and it offering. I promised to return. During my recent visit, I met Daniel the manger. He was truly a delight to speak with about the Brand and a few other things. I had witnessed his speaking with another customer. Daniel makes the customers feel welcome. As Joanna made me feel welcome and want to return. I am pleased that I returned and found more to like about Joy.
