I saw this newly opened Chongqing noodle spot in Alhambra with a really cute Chinese name "Chubby Girl's Noodle House" - how could this chubby girl not support this place?!

The beef hotpot rice noodles were super generous. They bring out an entire pot filled to the stuff! Besides big chunks of beef, it had tofu strips, wood ear mushrooms, bean sprouts, quail eggs...

The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful after being stewed. My only complaint is that the spice level didn't seem adjustable - as someone who can't handle too much heat, I was tearing and sniffling the whole time. But if you are spice lover, you would love it!

Scallion Ginger Chicken Noodles, While it looked a bit plain, it smelled incredibly fragrant!

The chicken was tender and not gamey at all, mixed with an aromatic scallion-ginger sauce. Tossed with their garlic mashed potatoes, it was sticky and satisfying in every bite.

一开始以为是传统的小面，没想到是更加年轻化的店面。食物都更加清爽健康，店面也干净明朗，吃起来负担感真的很小，甚至姜葱鸡拌面可以作为健身餐。真的比较惊艳！

The exquisite noodle restaurant opened in Alhambra, the overall style is simple and bright, the restaurant environment is quiet and comfortable. I didn't expect that eating a bowl of noodles can be so chill, mouth-watering chicken, ice jelly, scallion and ginger chicken noodles, beef bone hot pot rice noodles, super delicious, highly recommended

Szechuan noodles are legit! If you like the taste of peppercorns, this is your heaven. It’s not deadly spicy, but numbing. And the beef is so tender and aromatic!

The place is clean and chill. Great work!

As a frequent diner and an avid reviewer, I have to say that those who have only posted one or two reviews and yet leave a detailed one-star review really make me question the credibility of their opinions. These individuals seem to only speak up when they have something negative to say, and their criticism is often overly harsh.

Honestly, when someone has so few reviews, how valuable is their opinion really? Can one or two bad experiences truly define the quality of an entire restaurant? From my experience and the perspective of other regular customers, many restaurants consistently offer excellent food and service, deserving of more positive reviews.

I suggest that others look at the opinions of reviewers with a more extensive history of reviews rather than being swayed by a handful of negative comments. After all, the quality of a restaurant shouldn't be determined by a few isolated one-star reviews.

I don't know who gave this place a five-star rating. I ordered half beef and half tendon noodles. However, the vegetables here are completely raw, not blanched. Especially the beef tendons, they're as hard as chewing on rocks or rubber balls. The beef is pre-cooked, which is fine, but it's all cold inside. Despite seeing many five-star reviews, this is the worst noodle I've ever eaten at LA.

MINGYU ZHU

This place serves some of the most authentic and delicious Chongqing noodles I've ever had in LA. Highly recommend! I had an incredible experience at this restaurant, and I had to come back three days in a row to try more dishes!

Sort of a new noodle shop, probably within the last year after the previous tenant Sichuan Impression moved to Alhambra. The noodles are still Sichuan style, taste authentic, and the service is good. Parking is in the back, and since it's so new it's not very busy (for now). Worth a shot if you are into spicy authentic noodles.
